DAYTON, Ohio — With a groundbreaking ceremony today in Ohio's Miami Township,
Teradata, a division of
NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR), took the next step in its journey toward becoming an independent company. Teradata announced that contracts have been signed and construction has started for the new Teradata Corporation headquarters located at The Exchange at Spring Valley in Miami Township, Ohio.
Teradata is partnering with Oberer Thompson Company to construct the two-story, 40,000-square-foot facility. Chris Conley, vice president of Oberer Realty Services, Ltd., brokered lease negotiations on the property. Oberer Realty Services, Ltd. is an independent operating company within the network of Oberer Companies. There will be 1.77 acres of open space available to Teradata employees, including a small park with gazebo at the corner of Marketplace Drive and Commerce Boulevard.
"The location was selected based on the convenience for customers and employees, the relative proximity to both the Dayton metropolitan area and Northern Cincinnati, and the ability to recruit talent from the entire region," said Bruce A. Langos, chief operations officer for Teradata. "We are pleased to join other high tech companies in the area."
The move from the NCR world headquarters to the new Teradata headquarters is expected to occur by the end of the year. The address will be 2835 Miami Village Dr., Miamisburg, OH 45342.
