The system performance audit and analysis are conducted at three levels:

• Environment - Teradata conducts an on-site visit to ensure the physical condition of the Teradata system components and environmental conditions within the data center conform to Teradata specifications.
• Technology - Teradata conducts an online inspection (no impact to users) of the static elements of the system hardware, firmware, software and network to validate they are set for optimal performance.
• Activity - Teradata performs a dynamic analysis of resource usage patterns, trends, skewing and capacity exhaustion across your system's components to identify bottlenecks that may be contributing to poor performance response times or throughput. Significant system and usage changes that could have impacted performance during the data sampling period are noted.

Deliverables:

• System Performance Audit includes Analysis of the Environment, Technology and an Analysis of Historic Resource Usage Activity.
• System Tuning (as required) includes system adjustments to optimize performance and address bottlenecks where opportunities exist.
• Audit Report contains results of audit, key findings, any completed tuning and additional recommendations.
• Operational Mentoring provides hands-on instruction for up to four of your personnel to review audit results, any system changes or performance tuning performed, explain recommendations, and provide training on system performance management best practices, tools/utilities and troubleshooting.
