Product/Service Description

Agilent's assureME BI solution consists of Agilent data-feeds delivering raw signaling transaction detail records (TDR's) to enrichment software, which converts the raw TDR's into meaningful information, then loads it (via load servers) into a data warehouse platform. This platform is comprised of a Teradata relational database on an MPP hardware platform. The TDR feed is generated by a distributed Agilent probe system known as acceSS7, which passively monitors the signaling network of the telecommunications operator. Actionable information is delivered to customers via customized reporting portals containing all the reports defined by the customer. The reporting portal can be used manually or automatically, allowing any user to run any report at any time, and/or allowing reports to be scheduled to run automatically. This allows distribution of actionable information to a much wider audience within the organization. The reporting framework is based around the industry standard Business Objects Web Intelligence suite of reporting tools.

Agilent's AssureME product line consists of:

• Data Management Toolkit (DMT) - an analytic tool that provides access to key signaling transactions with an interface to pre-packaged and configurable analytic modules. Joint Solutions Between Agilent and Teradata

Agilent and Teradata formed a strategic partnership in 2007 to provide customers with a unique and differentiated value proposition that exploits the best of both vendors' core strengths in data warehousing and analytical BI solutions. A roadmap for enhanced and deeper technical integration was built and a joint team was developed to promote best practices and optimization of Agilent and Teradata technologies and solutions.

The overall foundation of the partnership focuses on creating the ability to run and optimize Agilent's analytic platforms (the DMT and DMC) on Teradata — leveraging Agilent probe data and ETL capabilities along with their analytical reporting to utilize and exploit the core parallel processing and scalability inherent to the Teradata Enterprise Data Warehouse architecture. The result is higher-performance run-times, ability to scale to any size a carrier demands, lower TCO, reduced data movement and redundancy, and faster analytical model development and processing.
